I have been trying to install msn messenger for the last two days and I keep getting the error code 0x80004004 can you please help me with this

Uinstall and reinstall Windows Live messenger will fixed the problem, what i suggest is install an older version of Windows Live Messenger...

did u download the latest version

and see if there is any firewall in your network

uninstall msn messenger to begin with and download and install once again.

If this still happens reset your router, the router may of changed itself to strict so just reset :)

Have you try to install the new version of msn ??

Some times old versions of msn are troublemakers :O)

well i have esentials right, go to your C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Installer ok in that folder you will have possibly 3 folders one should be called wlarp one called wloobe and another wlsres.dll (no need to worry bout the .dll) with one of the other applications click it and it should come up in one of them re-install or repair...click repair or re-install

you have to go to control panel -> add /remove programm -> search for msn/windows live/or other component for msn ->make uninstall ->wait for finish then you can reinstall msn 2009

This error is fixed by the solution here.

why u did that, contain msn files. if u didnt because of some problem in msn then dont do it. may be the files have some fault.
install a fresh copy of msn dont use that added files check the msn only, first. if ok then try with that files. if creates the same problem, then its clear that u have to use that without that files. files conatins error.
