Cd player won't open for Sony CMT-HPZ9 Micro Hi Fi Component System. Please advise how I can open the slot.

Try changing the belts that control the cd mechanism. There is one belt on the bottom that drives the cd assembly and two smaller ones in the left and right of unit. One controls the cd eject function the other controls the cd selection option. This particular linear skate cd system needs to have its belts changed otherwise the motors won’t work the mechanism at all.

how long have you had it?......is the cd burnt?....................does any cd work?.................maybe there is short or some thing, if you just bought it take it, or maybe u should replace it

Check its sled motor. It is the motor that helps to spin the disc inside. If disc do not spin inside, check the voltage at the terminals of this motor. If it is alright, and comes near to 5VDC, the sled motor is damaged and have to be replaced. OK.
