Bud I would suspect you may have melted wires farther up on the ones coming from the switch to to the rear of the car. Should have that checked cause it will be a fire issue. Your motor should have never melted before the fuse blew.
The blower motor has 2 wires the resistor connection has 5 or 6 wires .
It sounds like the blower motor wire .Dose the motor spin this is key if the resistor wire were all bad the blower motor would still spin .

You should take a close look at the wires either at the wires attached to the motor or its fan switch (most likely) and look for one of the wire's insulation to be melted. The most likely scenario is one of the fan's speed control wires is crossed and therefore shorted with a constant on (Wire that is going directly to the battery. You will need to separate the wires and add electrical tape to thoroughly insulate both wires!

most likely u r blower resistor melted common problem a new resistor can be purchased and a 6 inch lead of wire with connector that plugs in if more than two wires its resistor . a two pin plug means blower motor that connector can also be purchased with a new blower motor follow the melted wire to the cause u r on the right track danny ps it is all behind the glove box
Remove blower motor resistor and check to see if it discolored or melted. if so then replace blower motor resistor, also blower motor speeds 1-4 go through resistor, 5 goes direct from switch to blower motor. check wire harness connector at resistor, it should have six wires five power wires that corralate with the five settings on switch, so in each switch setting one wire should have power. the sixth wire is the ground. also harness connector to resistor it may be melted, if so go to dealer with vin number and get new harness connector with resistor. No the computer would not cause this. Wires only melt when the power being forced through them is more than the wire can handle. The excessive power draw is caused by a short or a bad motor with improper fuse protection.
Check the fan select switch and the wire harness that plugs into it,it may need to be replaced,they will melt down.Also if the resister wire harness has melted,replace it also,and check the relay and fuse.
hi budd as its custom you may have the wrong size wire and to small of a amp try a bigger wire as the motor seems to be pulling to many amps for that cable and fuse
