SOURCE: I am frequently unable to login to Paypal and thus

Hi Eileen,

Are you using the following sites for Paypal?
www.paypal.com
www.paypal.co.uk

If you go to the correct site for your location and put in your registered email address and password, what happens.

I would think you have a problem with the email address or the password.

On the login screen is an option if you have fogotten any of your details.
I suggest that you pick that option.

Regards

SOURCE: can't login to paypal when on ebay

I know feel this is a cache issue clearing you cache in your browser and delete all old history usually F5 does help in most browsers if not click start, settings, then control panel then internet options, clear all internet history and cache. If that does not work try another piece of browser software like firefox, chrome, safri etc etc. The problem is isolated to this computer you said that yourself making the qualified statment "it works on my other computer" so take some time out to see why its not wroking on "This computer" try even recovering but I fell the problem is pointing to the browser. How about some postive feedback and ratings for your wonderful answer today? Thanks

I just want to login to my account

to log in to your paypal account, go to paypal.com, enter the email address you set up the account with along with the password.
if you can't remember either, there are links on the page to help you "forgotten password" and "forgotten email address" - (the little question marks at the end of each entry box).
Once you've answered the questions, you'll have access to your account.

I have a aypal account but ebay is saying i didn`t pay for a purchase. does the money not come straight out of the account? how do i confirm the purchase through paypal?

Login to your paypal and view the purchase history. If the purchase is not listed in the history then it's most likely that the payment hasn't been taken. There must be some fault during the authentication. Pay it again from ebay. anyway, you can always claim paypal for any unwanted payments made.

hope this helps.

Recently received an email saying: As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the PayPal system. We recently contacted you after noticing an issue on your account. We requested...

Do not click on the link. This looks like a spam message. NEVER EVER click on a link a public company sends you that looks like this. 98% of the time it isn't legit. Go to the site yourself and login. If you can login fine from the site everything is alright. This most likely was an attempt to phish your information.

Email asking for account details

This is 100% scam and we should aware of this type of emails. Usually they include links like "click here to verify your account" etc.. and in most cases, this email isn't text format but image format where they insert hyperlink and as soon as click on the area of the mail, you'll be directed to another phishing site with the similar website like paypal (only the appearance,) if so open it, but don't enter any information and check the web address on the address bar, you'll see something like http://wwww.paypal.com (4 w's) or www1.paypal.com (3w's with 1), etc..

Just ignore it and forward or send this email to paypal directly to their Scam Alert email [email protected]

This has been circulating for some time now, so we need to be aware of this, they can easily copy your paypal's password and username/email address as soon as you attempt to login. There more with this, at your first attempt, you'll get an error message that your username or password is incorrect, at that time they've already captured your login account info and have been directed to the original paypal website. If you don't believe, use wrong/random email address and password, click login and see what happens.

This is What We Call Phishing.

Good luck

Thanks for using FixYa.
