Yes, there is a fuse. No idea how much risk there is in accessing it, as my knowledge of the model is based on taking mine apart... and mine still dosn't work. If you unscrew 2 of the four screws, the side will slide up (the other two are for the other side), you can peer in and see the fuse.
The power cord had burned out right at the point where it connects to the female receptable (the end that connects to the unit). Need replacement cord.
