SOURCE: My shoprider scootie does not show whats left on

hi, ok, but does the scooter work besides the horn and battery indicator not working ?

If the scooter works okay then the problem is within the tiller control panel , that is the panel on the handlebars, Now it could be a loose wire so carefully take it apart and check to see whether there are any loose wires.

SOURCE: how do you test the batteries and how do you

Bill With a voltmeter you can check the voltage of the batteries through the charger port on the battery pack. Set the voltmeter to 200 volts dc and plug the leads into the two outter holes of the charger port. You will be reading the voltage of the batteries and after a full charge they should read 25-27 volts. The batteries are in the case under the seat. remove the case from the scooter and turn it over there are numerous screws to unscrew to seperate the case and get access to the batteries. Remove the cables from the batteries and also the heat sensors from the batteries. Make sure you reattach the heat sensors to the batteries when you relace them with new batteries. Now you won't be able to do a load test on the batteries in the case but you can get them checked once you remove them from the case. It has been my experience that these smaller batteries do good if they last you a year. If less than that you might have a weak battery and you will need to replace both batteries with new ones. Hope this helps you

hi Rik, if you checked all the visible fuses, you may need to check the controller situated at the rear of the scooter above the motor, a black box, inside you find a fuse that is used to tiller battery gauge etc ..

My Invacare 24 volt battery charger has output 1.4 volts, what is the problem? and how can i fix it please? thanks.

If it only has an output voltage of 1.4 volts, it sounds like it has failed internally. Take it to an Invacare service centre or retailer and ask them to check it. My guess is that it need replacing. Here is the manual for it, and it states, 24 volts at 8 amps or 10 amps depending on country of issue. It charges 12 x 2 volt lead acid cells at the same time, cleverly making sure you can't use a standard 12 volt car charger.

I don't know how to remove old batteries to install new batteries in Shoprider Scootie TE-787NA power scooter. I can't lift them up after I remove batteries cover. I can't find it in manual.

Not familiar with that make and model, but we often find that batteries just plain get stuck due to gunk on the battery pan. If you do not see a strap or hold down or anything, try wiggling them to see if that frees them up.
