How do I use mouse instead of touchscreen on Samsung laptop

Do you have a mouse connected by cable or a USB dongle? If so, then your computer's Plug and Plug (PnP) capability to detect, install and activate peripheral device drivers will have recognize the mouse and made it accessible to you. If the mouse in not usable, look in Start, Computer, System Properties, Device Manager, Mice (etc.). If you have a Yellow Triangle, click on the mouse then the Driver Tab to Update the driver. This should solve you problem. You may have to Restart to gain access. If that doesn't work. Unplug the mouse connection, Restart the computer, then plug the mouse connection in again. Watch to see if PnP detects the connection and installs it.

USB devices not recognised or not working properly?

Try these steps to reinitialize your usb ports on your pc

1. Unplug ALL USB devices connected to the computer. If you are using a USB mouse and keyboard, temporarily use the older type PS/2 devices if you have them, if you don't then just leave them connected.

2. Hold down the windows key and press r

3. Type devmgmt.msc into the run menu and press ok

4. Click on the + sign next to the Universal Serial Bus Controllers

5. You might need another mouse to do this if you have a usb mouse.. I recommend you get a ps2 connector mouse which goes into the green round connector in the back of your pc.

6. Right click and uninstall first the usb root hubs. all of them then uninstall the rest of the devices you see under Universal serial bus controllers

7. Ones you have uninstalled everything you should see the Universal serial bus controllers there at all.

8. Now go ahead and restart your pc.

9. Ones you have restarted the pc your usb ports will reinstall in a moment stand by while it installs all of them. If you get warning messages click ok or continue installation.

10. Now go ahead and plug the usb devices back in. Install software if required, all usb devices if not faulty or broken should work now. Also note the error code if you get one?

This solution doesn't fix all usb problems so if you have a yellow ! mark there and device status reports a error code. Then it might not be a problem with your usb ports.

With the computer running, unplug the power cord from the computer. Make sure the mouse is plugged in before you plug power back in. During restart after the forced crash the system will re inventory the hardware. If it is a PS2 mouse, and crashing did not fix it, the quickest fix is to retire the mouse and buy a USB or wireless (also USB). The USB mouse seems quicker than the PS2 and they are cheap. Plug in the new mouse, turn on the computer. Plug and Pray.

Mouse frozen which keys to use instead my lap top works how I am able to write now. My Desk top computer mouse is frozen?

If you were using a physical mouse (instead of a track pad), then try a different mouse. If you were using the track pad, get a USB mouse and plug it in. If it works, then continue to use the USB mouse. If no type of mouse will work at all, it is a software issue. If rebooting doesn't fix the issue, you may have to reinstall windows. If you are using a mouse with a driver that was installed using a disk, try uninstalling that driver from the add/remove programs window (programs and features wind on vista and later).

Try this fix, turn off your computer properly then unplug the computer from the wall socket, then press the power button and hold for about 3-5 seconds. Then plug your computer back in, restart the computer then wait for the boot to settle into Windows.
After doing those things plug in a USB device into the same port as you have been doing. It should work now, if it does not plug it into another port if it does not go to all of the ports and try them all if none of them work then you cable may have come loose on your board or it is a bad USB HUB on your computer it is obvious it is not the unit if it worked on another computer.
You will have to replace it or if it works on one of them then change out the bad one. Replace it! Or go and get a 4 port USB extension using just one of the USB ports. So that you will have more ports without the fix. Replace any worn parts or devices that do not work anymore. John

Keyboard and Mouse don't work anymore

Hi, Sorry you are having problems,
Well Marcelo, the first thing to do in a situation like this is to restart your Mac or even better, shut down and restart. So, if you have done this, and still the keyboard and mouse don't respond, and, as you have mentioned, you have tried the other USB ports on the back of the Mac, it sounds like somehow, unexpectedly, your iMac motherboard got a shock of some kind and it killed the USB controller....
Last thing to try is to unplug the iMac completely of everything and let it sit for 10 minutes and then plug just the keyboard and mouse back in and try to see if that does the trick..
Otherwise, Apple will cover this if it is still under warranty.
Good Luck.

First turn off your computer let it rest for about 5 minutes. Then restart it again. Usually this is all what systems need. Next try checking the usb attached to the computer before turning it on again. Plug and unplug it. If there is no major problem on your mouse. This should do the trick. Please dont forget to rate me. Thanks!!!
