the very 1st thing u do is go and have the trouble codes scanned for these lights, any time a light comes on like this there will be a trouble code(s) stored in memory..

Most auto parts stores Advance/ Autozone etc will get the diagnostics codes from cars computer and tell you why the light is on and what the problem is if there is a problem.

I've also had this problem with my wife's car and had Hyundai replace the whole intake and throttle body...it was ok for a while but just today the issue happened again. I'm tired of this cycle of repairs that is just bandaging a deeper problem. Going to look into lemon law options myself as I just can't risk the vehicle stalling out at high speeds resulting in an accident.

Relay/bad ground how do i check to figure which one is my problem

no car told at all make, model ,year
left door open and engine running for 30minutes?
or engine off key back on and left for 30min.
30 minutes is a long time,
how you left that car is not told and matters huge
did you leave anything on and walk away./

head lamps dead/ those work key on and key off
a huge clue is there.
engine runs and lights means head lights, missing key word HEAD
well if engine runs the error lamp , charge/battery/gen must not glow running,or the alternator died (or its fuses)

i bet all parking lamps work outside car up to 10 lamps
called parking+tail+running lamps front/ rear and sides.
stop lamps dead.
reverse lamps dead.
dash blower dead.

Wrong size fuse put in my car can cause what types of problems? A mechanic put in a 30amp when it asks for a 20amp for the cigarette lighter. It worked but about 2 hours of driving later my 1st indication...

The blown fuse could be the sign of a shortcircuit in the wires.Usually,a major fuse will take a larger charge and can heat the wires at the point of a shortcircuit. But,even so,it will blow long before major problems...Track the problem, remove the 30amps fuse, ceck the other fuses, ceck for wires shortcut (visual inspection of wiring, smells burn...)Worning:a missinterpreted wiring/fuse problem could give general shortcircuit wich can put the car on fire.If in panic, remove battery connectors (yes,u may use force if no other tool availabile)If car is on fire already just run away, explosion danger.

I have a 2006 kia sedona. the problem is that my battery suddenly died so i stared the moter with a jumper. when the engine started the ABS,BREAK,ESC lights came on. After the moter ran for an hour i...

It sounds like your alternator is bad. Here is how to find out:

Start your car (jump it if necessary)

Let it run - while it is still running - disconnect the battery cables from the battery.

If your car suddenly dies, most likely its the alternator.

If your car does not die after disconnecting the battery cables - then its probably a bad battery and your alternator is working fine.

2008 kia sorento check engine light and ESC OFF light is on

We also have a 2008 Kia Sorento. We bought it in December 2007 and it has 12K miles on it. We've been having the same problem for about 2 months. In our case the check engine light comes on along with the esc off light however in our case the car then immediately loses power! We've had it to the dealer 4 times as it continues to occur even after they've claimed to fix it. The loss of power poses a serious safety hazard.

1996 Olds Achieva Engine cuts out

Take both cables of the battery and clean them with a wire brush, reinstall them making sure those little 5/16 hex bolts are nice and tight in the battery. Trace the battery ground cable back to where it bolts to the engine block, make sure it is very clean and tight. There should be a body ground somewhere, this is a conductor between the engine block and the metal body part of the engine compartment- clean and tight as well. If you can't find the body ground, make one.
Now get on your hands and knees and inspect behind both front kick panels and under the dashboard valence, inside the car. You are looking for single or clusters of brown or black wires that are bolted to the body inside the car. Clean and tight for these as well. I promise, this is where your problem lies, but I'm betting on loose battery terminals right now.

Check Engine light and ESC OFF light

I had an issue where the ABS and ESC lights would go on and wouldn't turn off unless I restarted the car (sometimes they would light up again even if I had restarted). This was because the speed sensor was broken on my back tire. After the dealership replaced it, (under the 36,000 mile warranty) all was good and I have yet to see the lights come back on.

Summary:
Issue: ABS & ESC would not turn off
Solution: Replaced broken speed sensor on tire
