Blackberry password lockout

My blackberry curve did not recognise my password. I am on my last attempt and do not want to lose my data. I have tried every which way to enter my password (numbers v. letters, etc.) Why would it suddenly not recognise the PW? Is there absolutely no way I can solve this without wiping it clean?

I think this can be some problem with your keypad which is not recognizing some button that typing.
check if all the buttons are properly working.

How to reset the blackberry curve password without losing data We have a BB that was turned in because an employee was terminated and they locked it before turning it in.

No you can't unlock blackberry curve 8300 without losing data if you didn't know the correct password, that's feature of RIM security to secure all customers data if their phone stolen or missing. You must type any password 10 times to unlock blackberry password and there is no option to save all your data.

I downloaded app lock an i hav forotten my passward ?

Try to input any password 10 time in your phone, it will make your blackberry curve 8520 unlocked. But all your previous data in that phone will be wipe out after you unlock blackberry password using that solution. As my knowledge we can't unlock blackberry password without losing all data in that phone if we forgotten our password, that's why you must remember your password in the future. Good luck.

Okay, I couldn't find my BlackBerry phone charger for like four months, and when I got a new one I forgot the password. I only have TWO more chances to unlock it and I DON'T want to lose anything...

There is no chance you can get that picture or doing backup process unless your blackberry curve 8300 unlocked. That's the feature of RIM security system, try to remember your password and if you confident with that password then try to make your blackberry unlocked. Good luck and I hope you succeed.

You can type any password 10 times at your phone, it can make your blackberry curve 8520 unlocked from old password. But you also lose all your previous data during that process it's kind like to force your blackberry unlocked without using any software. If your phone still can't receiving calls or message try to reflash your blackberry.

Forgot password on BB 8320 Curve. Tried putting in password. Now the screen is saying "Enter Password Final Attempt". I don't want to lose data. What do I do?

Hi, after the final attempt to enter your password the phone will prompt the user to type in the word "blackberry" and will then wipe all of the data on the phone including the password and return the phone to it's original "out of the box" status. The phone will be fully usable again, but if you want to restore your data to it then you have to do so via the last back-up stored by BlackBerry Desktop Manager. To restore the data will require your password though, so if you cannot figure it out then the data is lost as well.

If your BlackBerry has the corporate Enterprise Edition operating system, then it's likely that only the company which the operating system is licensed to will be able to restore the data; they'll often have additionally set the phone so that the password is retained even after a data wipe making the phone itself useless. Blackberry is famous for its security and the password cannot be bypassed without some very state of the art equipment.

Although BlackBerry set the default number of password attempts to ten, there are user options to reduce this number if required.

Hope this helps......

Blackberry Curve 8330 Pasword Lockout

Try removing the password before attempting to sync to your computer.
On the pressing the keys and getting only numbers sounds like the numbers shift is locked.
simply press the alt on the bottom left of your keyboard.
the use of numbers only or sometimes caps only will be indicated on your screen. observe the symbols along the top and the bottom .
type something as if you were going to send a text message to text that the keyboard is set to normal and lower caps.

I have a password lock on my black berry and whenever i try to enter my password in the password space, letters and numbers show up instead of the secrecy stars, and im on my 8/10 attempt and my passwords...

This is directly from RIM: Cause As a security feature, the BlackBerry device is designed to allow a maximum of 10 attempts by the BlackBerry device user to type the correct password. After the tenth attempt, if the correct password has not been typed, all data is erased from the BlackBerry device in order to discourage its theft or misuse. ------------------------------------------------- Resolution If you are certain that the password you are typing into the BlackBerry device is correct, please complete the following steps. 1. Deliberately type in an incorrect password five times on your BlackBerry device. Before the BlackBerry device allows a further attempt, you will be prompted to type the word blackberry in plain text. 2. Instead of asterisks, the text you have been entering for the password will now show in plain text. Check to verify that it is correct. 3. If the password is still being rejected by your BlackBerry device as incorrect, connect the BlackBerry device to a computer that has BlackBerry Desktop Manager installed. A prompt will appear in Desktop Manager to type the password for the BlackBerry device. Type in your password to rule out missed key strokes, incorrect symbols, or a problem with the BlackBerry device. 4. If the password you have given is still rejected, and your BlackBerry device is on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server that has software version 4.0 or greater, contact your BlackBerry Enterprise Server Administrator and request that your password be reset for you.

Password issues

No, there is no way to bypass the blackberry security code. However make sure you try your password in uppercase and lowercase letters. For example if your password contained the letter "E" and by accident you had pushed the "ALT" key then that would be considered a "2". So try all the possible combinations of your password using UPPERCASE letters and the ALT selected before you wipe your phone clean.
