I have dropped my samsung tocco and as a result the screen is cracked when i turn my phone on!! It looks like a broken mirror so to speak, the phone does not look damaged on the outside but when it is turned on the screen has a shattered appearence to it. I would be extremely grateful if someone could tell me 1, if this is just a case of replacing the screen and 2, whether there is likely to be an internal problem too!! The phone does work when it is turned on i.e. the screen saver and text message icon comes up but 3/4 of the screen is unviewable. I have tried to plug the phone into my pc to access the text messages but they will not come up now since the phone was dropped. Thank you, kind regards. Stef
The screen should keep working with the LCD cracked. i.e you should be able to receive calls.
You can find replacement LCD screens for Samsung F480 in this link:

I hope it helps.

Hello Stef,
The installation is not difficult. It doesn't requiere soldering or special tools. I recommend you dismantle the devide before ordering the screen. So you make sure that nothing else is damaged inside the phone.
You can use the corner of a credit card to open the housing, after removing any screws.

Hi Olmo,
Thank you for your reply! You have been very helpful. As you said the phone does actually work and the LCD screen is the problem.... needs replacing. Thank you for the link for this site, it to has been very helpful. One more thing, do you know if fitting the new LCD screen is straight forward and simple? I have never fitted one before.
Thanks and kind regards,
Stef
