This is a translation of instruction from the Service Manual for the Brother PR600, the twin of the Babylock EMP6. I will testify this works because I just did it to stop the insanity of my EMP6 thinking everything was a 5x7 hoop. If you look on page 4-36 of the free PR620 manual http://www.brodyrmaskiner.se/service/pr620/pr-620-service.pdf you will find the same exact set of instructions that are in the PR600 manual. So here are the exact steps to augment the manual's instructions.
1. Turn off the machine.
2. Press all three buttons (start, threader and cutter) and keep them pressed while turning the machine on.
3. Press MAIN BOARD TEST MODE.
4. Press A/D TEST.
5. Put the largest hoop on the machine (7 7/8 x 11 3/4).
6. Press LL.
7. Put the smallest hoop on the machine (1 1/2 x 2 3/8).
8. Press S.
9. Take the smallest hoop off the machine.
10 Slide the arm to where the knob on the arm is when the large hoop is on the machine.
11 The reading on the screen should be very close to the value that is in the LL setting.
12 If not, go through the large hoop steps (5-6) again.
13 Slide the arm to where the knob on the arm is when the smallest hoop is on the machine.
14 The reading on the screen should be very close to the value that is in the S setting.
15 If not, go through the smallest hoop steps (7-8) again.
16 Press close when you have both settings close. They need not be identical but they do need to be no further than 200 away from the screen value.
17 Turn the machine off.
18 Turn the machine back on, load a file, and see if you have the same results that I had; it will show the proper hoops when you press the hoop symbol and it will also center itself in the hoop properly.
You can buy the PR600 service manual online for about $12. However, you have the 620 manual for free and there is really very little difference. I have found the manual invaluable in saving me trips to the shop and doing my own repairs.
Call tech support for the company..have them walk you through it

The arms are serial numbered to match the machine. Each series esante is different.
If you can get me a serial number (off the back of the machine) I will tell you which series you need to order. I can get it through my work.
SOURCE: How do I fix the error on a babylock emp6
I have found that this error most commonly is a result of a lot of thread caught in the cutting blades preventing the cutting blade from moving. See the "Cleaning around the Needle Plate" in the User Guide or "Cleaning of Knives and Rotary Hook" on page 316 (or 6-6) in the Service Manual located at http://www.brodyrmaskiner.se/service/pr620/pr-620-service.pdf.
