I need to open the disc drawer to try a disc which i have to try and fix my bootmngr problem
You should see a little hole at the side of the drawer. push a pin in it and it will open.

if you go to the device manager and see if you have any problems with drivers (yellow exclamation marks or red crosses next to hardware list) then update the drivers for anything with a problem.
If there is a small hole on the panel of your dvd drive push a straightened paper clip inside until you feel it press down this will open up the drive.
