To program a known frequency into your scanner: 1. Power the unit ON. 2. Press the HOLD key. 3. Enter a channel number. 4. Press the FUNC and PGM keys. The selected channel number will display. 5. Enter the desired frequency, including decimal point (ex: 151.475). 6. Press E to enter the data into memory. 7. Repeat steps 2 through 6 for additional channels.

Powering up a wet camera usually shorts out the circuits. Soda gets sticky as it dries and further complicates matters. Still later, the corrosive activity of the acid in the soda will eat its way through the circuits. I don't hold out much hope for your camera but if you want to take it in for repair and are willing to pay the expected high cost, go for it.
