Renault problems where is the oil filter located?

If you find your oil filter, you fill find the oil cooler. It is the little box that the oil filter screws into. You will see two coolant hoses going to it as well.

dipstick on my Renault Anon, The dipstick is on the front/underside of the engine close to the oil filter. Usually yellow handle, it's so well hidden it's easily missed. Look between engine and radiator.

You should have the cylinder head pressure tested for cracks, Also, remove the oil cooler located above the oil filter and have it pressure tested for leaks.

if automatic gearbox then oil problems and oil filter on the gearbox.

Between the radiator and the engine block. Or on either side of the engine block. Looks like a can.

Drain oil and replace with engine oil flush.Run untill normall temperature then drain and Refill with 10/40.Semi synthetic oil and a new filter.It sounds to me that the oil filter has a partial blockage.

Depending on your location, 10W-30 is fine.

need a new tensioner by the sound of it ,but it has nothing to do with the oil pressure,if seals blowing out on the plastic filter housing then put some diesel in with the oil and a squirt of washing up liquid and run for about 20 mins then change oil and filter again and see what happens

Open the bonnet, go to the drivers side front wing and look down to the front of the engine. You should be able to see the oil filter at the front of the engine.

With the engine cold put your hand on the oil filter and the dipstick is just over a hands width towards the front centre of the engine.
Also where it says 16 valve in yellow on the top of the engine cover follow a straight line down towards the front of the engine and that's pretty much about it's location.

When the "oil ok" light is displayed on the dashboard, press the trip reset button there should be six 000000's displayed.

This lets you know if the engine oil is at the correct level.
These zeros decrease as the oil level goes down. I reckon It's about 250mill - 1/4 of a litre of oil for each zero.
So let's say if you have only three zeros displayed, then you would require about 750mill of oil to reach the correct level. It's best to add a small amount at a time using a measuring jug.
