You didn't say what the specific problem is. If the rope does not return properly the best move would be to replace the housing that holds the starter. If the rope broke you will need to pull the housing off to replace it. This is a bit of a challenge because you need to rotate the spool against the spring enough times to wind up the rope when you release it and still manage to attach the rope. You may find it better to replace the housing as these springs can get weak over time.

You may it adjusted to tight.

find out why it is binding at that point they should not break that easy , do not force it , that is what is happeing find out what the problem is

my auger cable is not working the auger so i adjusted it and it was to tight and the plastic holder that holds the cables poped off and broke,now the cable i adjust it and nothing happens,cable is all hooked up and seems ok but it will not work right,but the auger spins with out the cable,wondering if it needs a new auger cable

That Snowblower is made by Agri- Fab for Sears/Craftsman .If you go online to the agri-Fab website it is possible to down load the manual or if you email them they will send you a copy. I have dealt with them.They have even sent me missing parts. GOOD LUCK
