When typing the spacebar either won't work or it types continuous spaces without being pressed
There is something under the space bar you can pry it up carefully and remove the debris it should snap right back in.

There may be something under the spacebar key preventing its contact with the base. If you gently pull up the key it will come off and you can check.
It's a bit tricky to put it back on, gently push it back on rocking it from top to bottom.
Failing this, you can buy a new keyboard quite cheaply on the web.

The space bar on any PC is a single button you may need to make sure your keyboard is clear of any debris If that doesn't fix issue you will probably need to replace keyboard which is very easy to do. [email protected]

My MOM Used AOL mail, for her it was the AOL news pictures loading every few seconds in the backround. If you press the pause button in between the left and right arrow boxes in the news box (under the pictures) you will turn off that function, which should speed up your typing, as every time a news item switches it causes a delay which may miss a keystroke, etc.
