a foot controller is a simple speed controller
Any generic make that has the same specifications will do the job
Have you done a proper continuity check on the lead as it indicates broken wires in the cord
it could be pedal control or the speed control unit on the motor as it is reasonably common for that machine
take it in for a service to ensure that other factors ( thread around bobbin shaft, fluff etc is not slowing the machine
According to the manual, there is no speed control on your machine. It is apparently built into the foot control unit. I suspect something is haywire with the foot controller but would suggest taking the machine and foot control unit to a sewing repair service.
