1. Try to print from local system if it does not then reinstall printer driver. check catridges. 2. Now right click on the printer using sharing options, share it again. 3. On the other computers using network icon, browse the printer connected system. Explore the system till you see the shared printer and double click it. It will take 2 to 5 Minutes and then your printer is network connected. 4. Now remove the old printer icons. And check printing using the new one.

try uninstalling your printer and driver in you Device manager and re-installing it....
the last and the worst option is to reformat ur machine and reload OS and install the printer

Friend if your new printer wont operate because an old software was installed already,thats why it says it was already connected and everytime you install the cd it will counterfieit the new software. so to solve this problem you remove first the old version of printer driver installed in your pc.go to control panel and and remove progrms then you remove the old driver there then reboot your pc. after rebooting install now your new printer driver together with your new printer. thats all hope i helped you.good luck
