I purchased a Craftsman 42" snow thrower tractor attachment but it did not come with mounting brackit or clutch assembly. Does anyone know where I can purchase these two items?

you must ask to your supplier manufacturer by matter of design machine. Take the toll free or website and ask them by ONLINE via chat and ge the support.

Most of the Yard Machine lawn tractors have a welded tube front axle and they are not strong enough to handle the weight of a snow thrower.

The snow thrower is generic but you will need the correct mounting brackets and center frame for your tractor. Go to the agrifab website, call the help number and ask them if they have a mounting kit for your tractor. You will need the model number off the nameplate on your tractor frame for them to help you.

it shooed fit with no problems but first check the crank shaft
to make sure they are the same size that's always ben the
problem trying to switch motors let me no if you need more

As long as your deck mounts match up then you should be good to go. You might have to change to a different sized belt though. Other than that everything should be fine.

Try your local power equipment dealer. They usually have many brands in stock and may be able to match one up with a different manufacturer if they don't carry your brand.

I have a Haban Model No. 24577A 42" front mounted snow thrower attachment, which I have mounted to a Murray lawn tractor. I needed to replace the lower drive belt, labeled: V-Belt-Long Part No. 23948 in my Haban manual. I had found it next to impossible to find a replacement belt part number or cross-reference to other brands. I tried many belt sizes and lengths to no avail - belts broke quickly and suddenly after 1 or two uses.

While researching Haban on the internet, I realized that they also supplied snow thrower attachments for Sears Craftsman lawn tractors. A thought hit me at one point in my research... that Haban probably sold the same snow thrower chassis to all manufacturers, but only with different interfaces to the tractors. So I ordered up a belt for a different Haban model that was supplied to Sears, and I think that my intuition was correct!! I have found a belt that works with my Haban Model No. 24577A snow thrower.

The belt that appears to be a direct replacement for the Haban belt part number 23948 (long) is as follows: Kevlar Blue V-Belt 5/8" x 87". It is sold by several suppliers under various part numbers, priced at $20 to $30.

i just purchased the poulan pro PR1030ES snow thrower, and the recoil spring is broken, anyone know of a place to buy a new one...can't even get an answer from poulan...did you ever get yours fixed
