I have a Blackberry Curve with Sprint. Everything was wiped out and reset last week. Now I cannot get the Outlook Contacts database to synch with the Blackberry desktop software. I recieve the following error code: 0X80040fb3.
I have done everything recommended...clean uninstall and reinstall (several times), checked every single record (all 774 records twice!) for errors in the first and last name fields and company fields. I deleted all photos from contact records and have no attachments. Please help! Thanks.

You need blackberry 8530 unlock code for sprint network, and you can get that blackberry unlock code from sprint provider. Sprint will takes you some charge for that code and will delivery the code in a couple of weeks. You also can buy unlock code from third party sites and you just need to wait a couple of minutes for that code.
You can unlock your blackberry network using blackberry curve 8350i unlock code for sprint network. That code will allow your blackberry to use any sim card from other network and you can get blackberry unlock code from sprint or third party sites. Both of them will take some charge, but third party sites have lower price and quick delivery service rather than original network provider.
you can't ... sprint has no GSM card.. it's all imbeded into the phone... you can only use the Blackberry Curve with AT&T and T-Mobile or International if the phone is unlocked. You can't unlock the phone for Sprint
Hi, Typically its caused by a contact not having a FIRST NAME, LAST NAME and COMPANY NAME. (don't confuse FIRST NAME and LAST NAME with FULL NAME, they're not the same!!) Do an advanced search in Microsoft Outlook to find contacts with blank First Name, Last Name, and Company fields.
1. Open Contacts in Microsoft Outlook. 2. Open the Tools menu. 3. Select Advanced Find from the Find submenu. 4. Select the Advanced tab. 5. Click Field. 6. Select First Name from the Frequently-used fields submenu. 7. Select is empty from the Condition list. 8. Repeat steps 5 through 7 for Last Name and Company. 9. Click Find Now.
Any contacts you find as a result of this need to be modified to include a first, last or company name (not all 3, just one of the 3)
By upgrading to DTM 4.2.2 or higher, that problem should be ignored (skipped), so if its still happening, I'd first go through the steps listed in that link above.
I've had a few clients with this issue. I have used these steps from RIM. Try it and see if it helps.
Here’s what you need to do: 1. Uninstall Desktop Manager 2. Remove any references on your registry and on your C drive program files and users to: a. Blackberry b. Pumatech c. Research in Motion d. RIM e. Desktop Manager 3. Disable the UAC (User Accounts) on Control Panel-Users 4. Get a command prompt and type regsvr32 atl.dll (enter) 5. Reboot 6. Make sure that when you re-install you have absolutely no SpyBot, Virus, Spam guard or the like running. 7. Reinstall Desktop Manager (version 4.2 SP2) 8. If you get an “Error 1904….Lotus Notes…” Ignore it 9. After you do all this, it should work
To get rid of the unknown error, you will need to uninstall the Blackberry Desktop software. When you do this, make sure that you have the uninstaller delete the user settings, too. Then reinstall Desktop Manager 4.3. See if that helps with the syncing, too. This solution solved the error problem for me, so I hope it will work for you.
If this does not solve the syncing problem, then post back here again and we'll look for another solution. Sometimes a .pst file repair will help.
