Hi Dj, The deck light (Interior courtesy light) receives power constantly and is grounded through switch. Look for a short circuit in the ground wires. Regards John
It is located in the trunk on the same side as the fuel door. To get to it you need to pull aside the carpet on that side. When you do you will see a sticker pointing to the reset...I hope this helps.
There is a small switch near the trunk latch or in the trunk latch, you will have remove the connector from that switch and put a little wire jumper in it so the body control module (BCM) thinks the truck is closed, otherwise just remove the bulb, but that requires pulling the instrument cluster out.
open the trunk... on the other side of the light, in the trunk, fold down the fabric, unscrew the light housing and pull it out... you should be able to get to the light from there. If you can't get it I think autozone will install it for you.
