MY RADIO TO MY 2005 PORSCHE 911 WILLN'T WORK WHEN I CHANGED MY BATTERY. ANY IDEA WHY AND HOW DO I FIX THE PROBLEM

This will have happened because the radio is fitted with a security code.
Once power is disconnected , when it is turned on you need to feed in the code to enable the function.
The code is sometimes found on the case of the set, but that will mean having to remove it from the consul....maybe a job for experts

I lost mmy radio code, is a 911 carraera 1999 convertible

contact the service department at your local Porsche dealership, they may be able to look up the code for your radio using your vin#.

if they can't look it up by your vin#, they should be able to look up the lock code using the serial# of the radio. To get the serial# you need to pull out the radio.

You can recover the code at the following site without pulling the radio. The site will show you how to get the 8 digit serial number of the radio from the radio and then use that serial number to find your code. Takes about ten minutes. Look at the notes if you have trouble

Connected a 12V battery loader on my Porsche 911 convertible death battery but on the wrong poles! No music since, although all fuses in the fuse box are OK. The radio/CD is an original Porsche CR 220....

The fuse is on the back of the unit. You need a becker radio tool puller to remove the radio. The tools are inserted into the small slots on the sides of the radio. (example tools: http://www.eagleday.com/porscheaudio.html) My first attempt at pulling a radio from a Boxster required about 20 minutes.

You will also need to reset your radio: http://www.a2dvoices.com/realitycheck/porsche
