wow , never turn you wipers on when the cars has snow or ice on the window EVER , you have to loosen the nut that holds the wiper on and re-adjust it to the other one , easy fix unless you work out the knurle that is what holds it in place easy fix ,unless you broke it

Windshield wipers went out on my 2000 nissan maxima

Im not sure the extent of the problem but if both went out, check your fuses, they may be under the hood or in the fuse panel within the car. Also you might want to check if the nuts that hold the wiper arms on arnt loose, if they are the rod that holds the wiper arm will move but with out the nut holding tight the arms themselves wont move.

Wipers arms go all the way off my 1994 honda accord?

Are the wipers too long for the car, if so when buying new ones for example the car requires a 16 inch, buy them one inch less (15). If this is not the issue, take the plastic cap off where the wiper arm meets the car and you will find a mm nut. Holding the wiper arm in place, tighten the nut if it is loose and this should be solved.

Ford f150 windshield wiper bushing diagram. windshield wipers are not working , motor is going and the wiper arms will move freely when truck is not on

sounds like a loose nut. there are nuts that hold the wiper arms on, they may be under a cover but theyre at the base of the wiper arm. also there's a nut that holds the wiper linkage onto the wiper motor. if you can move the wipers independently, it's the nuts connecting the wiper arms.if you move one arm and the other moves with it, it's the nut holding the linkage to the motor.

My 98 saturn SL1 wipers do not operate evenly and drivers side may run off the windshield. what is wrong?

At the base of the wiper there is a nut under the decorative cover that holds the wiper on. You can remove this nut and pull the wiper, realign it and replace the nut. With a few tries even a novice can get them where they belong.
