SOURCE: Garmin won't recognize footpod

As your Forerunner 50 first time was syncronized with your husbands footpod, now it is linked to him and that's why it can't find yours. You may even have to reinstall software, but I'm not sure. Try this link and you may find wht you are looking for:

Could I use the Nike+ pod together with a Garmin forerunner 210?

Nope: Different types of signals.

That being said, there is a foot pod that Garmin makes if you want that type of data sensor. The GPS in the 210 is more accurate than the Nike+ pod, and the Garmin foot pod is about equally accurate with the 210, but allows you to use the watch when there is no GPS signal

"LoBATT" stays on in TIME mode (doesn't flash) ?

"lobatt" display is the watch battery. The foot pod uses the LED to indicate low battery and the heart rate monitor wont give a reading.

Can't pair garmin forerunner 50 with hrm and food pod

First you have to assume the battery that comes with your HRM would be new - keep in mind that it may be stored in the warehouse for many moons.
Given that, open and take out the battery - that should make a hard reset on the HRM itself. Restore the battery and try the manual pairing again.
The heart icon should pop up again.

Otherwise, you have to suspect the battery is low and need to be replaced.

Good luck

Pairing Food Pod

I had the same issue, it turned out to be a weak battery. Also when you replace the battery make sure it is making proper contact with terminal in the foot pod.

Can`t pair Garmin Forerunner 50 with footpod

Hi,

I've been having the same problem. I couldn't pair my footpod, but my heart rate monitor was working. I've only had the 50 for about eight weeks.

I reset the watch, holding view mode and Start/Stop at the same time.
This didn't do any good.

I swapped the battery in the HRM with that in the foot pod. The foot pod synched the HRM didn't.

Solution duff battery. I'd change yours it will probably do the trick.

Hope it helps
