Turbo problem Hello I have ford turbo f350 crew cab power stroke 1997 and the turbo is not working there so I need to now why it is not working and how to solve the problem???

Fuse number 16 on the fuse block

check for clogged egr valve.

it is on the drivers side frame rail right under the cab of the truck

open the hood! ull see a cover that says power stroke it should flip open or remove a few bolts! then ull see a big cap that has to b removed !take it off and theres ur filter!

remove the air intake hose. diconnect the oil feed tube to the turbe discnnect the band on the exhaust side of the turbo. you may or may not have a cold wether aid it a arm under the exhaust side of the turbo. has a cer clip holding it ot the turbo. There are four nuts holding the turbo on.You are taking the turbo off as one unit the intake side and the exhaust.

i have a question?wen the truck stalls out will it start rite up? if yes change ur cam position sensor!

Will need to know if 4x4 or 4x2.

Injector maybe but i'd check the glow plugs if they are not working in some cylinders it could act the same way, only allowing a couple cylinders to preheat the fuel mixture for easier ignition, if it runs fine after it warms up the injectors are probably ok

Remove the panel on the inside of the tailgate. You will find the plastic attachment pieces are broken that attach the bars to the mechanism are broken. Available and inexpensive at Ford. Also keep all the linkage and moving parts lubed for smooth operation.
