Drop in bobbin, only goes in one way (you can't do it wrong. follow white on white arrows to thread it. It's hard to describe over internet (lift presser foot, first go behind the metal guide, then downto left around tension assembly then back up. Around take up lever, then back down to just above the needle, to the thread guide at the top of the needle. Needle goes in flat sode to the back.
stitch length is the bobbtom knob (2.5 is normal s.s. length) The tension should be at 5 or so (between 4-6) I hope this helps
the knob under the lid is presser foot pressure. The tension is the small knob in the middel of the machine over the needle.
The knob under the lid is the presser foot pressure, the tension knob is above the needle bar to the right and in the middle of the machine alone. its a smaller numbered dial.

Thank-you so much for your help. Is the tension the knob above the bottom knob? If so, what is the knob that is on the top left under the case?
Thank you very much, You've been 100% helpful!! Donya:))
I did a "stitch line" and the bottom looks good but the top thread, I can pull it and the whole line of stitches comes out. The stitch length is 2.5, the knob above that is 2.5, the presser foot pressure is 4 and the tension is 5. Do you have anymore suggestions? Thanks in advance, Donya:)) (I also put in a new needle)
