Installing PrintMaster 18 on any computer requires .NET Framework 1.1 to be installed on the hard drive. If NET Framework 1.1 is not installed, it will be installed from thePrintMaster 18 install disk before PrintMaster 18 is installed. Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:))

You can use Add/Remove on your system or any free uninstallers program eg Revo Uninstaller (free version), CCleaner.

printmaster 1 was for windows 98, ver 17 is for XP. it depends where your saved projects are. if they are on CD media then that is READ ONLY and they must first be transferred to a C:\ drive and their ATTRIBUTES for each and every file/folder of the project need to have the Read Only attribute removed. you can do that via CMD.exe eg if your project was inside a folder called c:\myprojects\????? then you would type in ATTRIB/S c:\myprojects\*.* -R then your projects might be valid as they could be UPDATED/Altered by the new version but thats just a guess.

I am guessing that your new computer has windows vista on it. That may be the reason Printmaster 12 will not install. Certain programs or their installations are not compatible with Vista.

I'm not sure what errors you are getting, and I am assuming you are running Windows Vista, so again I'm just guessing.

You could try to launch the setup program manually and using compatibility mode by following these steps:

1. Insert your installation disk.
2. Click the start button

3. Click on Computer
4. Right click on the drive containing your installation CD
5. Select Explore from the menu.
6. Find the Setup or Install file in the list.
7 Right click on it.
8. Select Properties.
9 Select the Compatibility tab at the top.
10. check "Run this program in compatibility mode for"
11. In the drop down menu select windows xp
12. check "disable visual themes"
13. Check "run this program as administrator" (if it is available)
14 click OK

15 now double click on the setup/install program.

Try reinstalling the software, when finished restart your computer then again try to remove in add/remove programs.
