Try changing the wiper relay first and check out the fuses if all is good then the motor itself may have seized or the worm drive may be worn or broken check the toothed spline where the wiper blade attaches the splines may be smooth or broken which will stop the blades moving back and forth

SOURCE: 1995 xj6 windshield wiper do not work

you can buy a fuse probe for under $5 and probe all the fuses one by one (it is a small plastic box with two prongs and an 'led' light that glows when the fuse is good). some fuse packs include a fuse probe at no extra charge. some vehicles work on circuit breakers which are small black boxes. listen to the fuse panel while turning the windscreen wipers on or off to see if you can hear a clicking from the circuit breaker. the circuit breaker protects the fuse. good luck

SOURCE: 01' Jaguar XJR Starter location?

If you get just a click you should first check battery charge and all battery connections. The click is probably the solenoid kicking in but without enough battery to turn over the engine.

SOURCE: the windshield wipers do not work on my Jaguar XJR

I have a 1999 XJ8. Same setup as yours, with very minor differences. I had the same problem, turned out NOT to be fuse, OR bad relays, OR wiper motor, OR Body Processor Module. It was simply a loose connection at the body processor module below the Glovebox. I Literally jiggled the wires, and it started working again, and has been ever since. I have the Shop Manual, Technical ability, and Tools available to test all of the circuits involved, and went forth with printing out the wiring diagrams, and step by step eliminated each, until I decided to give the connection a jiggle, JUST BEFORE replacing the Body Processor Module (which would have been expensive)

Test 1:
Try the jiggle trick. Should be able to access harness just below, and behind the left of the glovebox. touch around up there, but don't be a brute, as you MAY break stuff.

Test 2:
Check Fuse under hood, (#22) Should be a 30A fuse

Test 3:
Swap the relays located on the drivers side, just behind the radiator. One is for Wiper motor run, the other is for wiper motor high speed.

Test 4: Jumper Pin 3 & 5 on the LEFT relay (drivers left) (please remove relay first). This should turn the wipers on, regardless of whether or not the computer is telling it to run. If wiper does not turn on, check fuse, or replace wiper motor.

That's all I've got.... Hopefully this works for you.

SOURCE: where's the fuse box for 2000 Jaguar S-Type

There are 3 boxes.
1 foot-well side wall
2 engine compartment
3 underfloor in boot
1+2 carry most of the fuses for everyday problems.
Hope this helps - good luck

SOURCE: where is the fuse box

On all the s-type's I've had you have three places for fuse box's. One under hood, one in trunk, and one on the passenger side wall forward the door under the glove box. The passenger side one will have most of your simple fuse's for light's, radio, cig liter etc...

How do I cange fuse for my cigeratte lighter in my xj8 2001 jaguar and where is box located

In the trunk (aka Luggage Compartment in England) life the panel to expose the spare tire. Fuse box should be on right side, near bumper. Take off top. Should be fuse 11. 10AMP accessory fuse. Check to confirm with diagram on lid. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/attachments/xj-xj8-xjr-x308-27/339d1239001496-cigarette-lighter-fuse-1999-xj8-l-fuse-locations.jpg
