Have flashing question mark on start up dont have start up cd other ways??

Please do follow steps:
Switch your notebook ON
Press immediately F12 to enter boot selection device menu
Choose CD/DVD drive and press ENTER
When menu is shown and your language is marked confirm with OK
On each step just confirm with OK and recovery installation will starts properly.
ALL data on HDD will be deleted.

Your hard drive has lost a file needed to start up the machine. The folder with the question mark means it cannot find a useable Operating system. I hope you backed up your files you needed becuase the only real way to recover the machine is to reinstall the OS from the install disk. You must format the Hard Drive from the format option on the install disk and reinstall the OS.

what operating system you using? look in device manager all the way down see usb is there a yelow mark there?

YOUR CRT (PICTURE TUBE ) IS GOING BAD . this is the most common way a sony tv crt fails . the tv is to old to make it worth a crt . but if your handy and carefull there is a way to get a little more time out of it . start with the tv cold , remove the back and look on the little board connected to the neck of the crt . there is a control marked "SCREEN " plug in the tv and cable and start it , with it flashing adjust that control , one way will make it flash more and one way less , adjust this no more than you need to , just enough to stop the flashing .NO MORE ! just be carefull the voltages in a tv can KILL . dont touch anything else in there and use a little inslated screwdriver to make the adjustment good luck .... if this answer helped please leave me 4 stars rateing , this high rateing will keep me in the paid answer department , thank you

Here are a few things that might help you
Try to start your computer from the system CD, if this fails, you may try to start it from the Disk Warrior CD, if this won't work also, I would check the PRAM.

u need to ajust the laser. there is a white gear above the laser make sure u mark whar it starts. turn it about 1/8 of the way and test it. if that dont work turn it anouther 1/8 and test it agian and do so till it works

The bootup permissions file has become corrupted in your system folder. Booting up and running an"archive and install" from the installation cd, or better, from an external hardrive, should solve the problem.
