The voltage from the alternator is AC, and will increase/decrease with the engine speed, so when checking, run the engine at full throttle. 1/2 of the alternator is not used, the other 1/2 is used to power the light. Also, inspect the light harness plug-in just above or below the starter. Check for being disconnected, burnt, or wiring pinched around the starter mounting area. Lastly, check the bulb with a 12 volt battery, connecting one bulb spade to the + connection of the battery, and the other spade to the - connection.

check the bearings in the auger sounds like the froze up and now they need to be replaced (the smoking you saw was from the belts slipping on the pullies)..good luck

As long as your deck mounts match up then you should be good to go. You might have to change to a different sized belt though. Other than that everything should be fine.

it shooed fit with no problems but first check the crank shaft
to make sure they are the same size that's always ben the
problem trying to switch motors let me no if you need more
