Old monitor or sound card ?

I have a compaq desktop d51s evo pent 4 but the res on my monitor will only delect 4 bit and i need 16 bit res so what do i change one or both o monitor is a old reusys

I'm coming up with three different EVo computers when i do my research, what is the product number of your Compaq Evo? It should be on the side on a sticker. Give me the different model and product numbers so I can narrow down my research so I can help you solve this.

Sounds to me like you need the drivers installed for your video card. Verify the model of your Compaq and your OS and I"ll get the drivers for you. I can also talk you thru it online if you want to as well.

You need a low profil video card for this typ of pc.
