The original Blackjack will not recognize anything larger than 2gb. Sorry, but you just wasted buying those 4 gb. cards. I found this out the hard way too when I bought my daughter a 4gb card for her Blackjack. I have a BJ2 which will recognize the 4gb cards.
emm... I have got an 2 gb SD memorycard for mine to and it wont work. Read on several places that the camera can only handle 1 gb memory card... Dont know if that's true thou.
Try formatting the memory card first (I'm not sure if this is possible from the phone, just search for it on the phone, in settings)
If you can't find it do it on a computer (most new computer have a slot for these cards)
If that does not work you can try to reset the phone with the memory card inside by typing: *2767*3855# (remove simcard first; IMPORTANT this will delete ALL userdata stored on the phone, incl contacts, sms, photos etc)
I had the same problem and went on samsung website for support and they told me you can`t` set phone to store photos etc directly to mem card so I have to do it manually. Select photo- options-move to mem card and then paste selected. ( Something like that. Will have a check and get back asap) Hope this helps.
According to this website most the J700 phone can support is 2GB.
However, alot of phones and other electronics which were made in the February-June months state that they only support up to 2gb when the can support more.
I recommend buying a 4gb micro sd card from Best Buy, trying it out before you leave the parking lot. If it does not work, return it for a 2gb micro sd card!
