SOURCE: Blower motor is not working

The blower motor seems difficult, but actually it was easier than I thought. I broke some of the plastic surroundings when trying to remove the motor. But, the motor actually just pulls right out, but there is a clip, screw(s), or something in that area that holds it in place. But once you see what is holding it up there, remove it and the motor will pull right out.

SOURCE: A/C fan speed not working

There are a total of 5 fuses which affect blower fan (correct terminology) speed. One is a 40 amp unit in the fuse block under the hood. (Passenger side) The other 4 are in the fuse block under the passenger side of the dash board. Check them all.

SOURCE: 1995 mercury mystique heater died today. I smelt

YOU'LL FIND A MELTED 40 AMP FUSE IN THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE DASH ABOVE AND LEFT OF THE BRAKE PETAL. GOOD LUCK!

SOURCE: 1997 Mercury mystique the engine cooling fan will not operate

it could be the engine coolant sensors on the thermostat housing it controls the fans when they work if your sensor is out you can unplug the sensor while running the motor and if they turn on after a moment(the fans)then the sensor is bad if not make sure your fans work by jumping power to them 12volt

05 megane fan works on1,2,3 not on 4 the heater works sometimes next time blowing cold air

sounds like blower motor, or speed switch is heading south. if you can live with 3 instead of 4 speeds, leave till it gets worse

I put in a resister and a blower fan and it still only works on low speed why?

If you car fan only works on high, it's likely caused by a faulty fan resistor. A new one costs around 25 dollars. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

A/c only works on low blower speed

Not a VW expert here - but does the fan still blow on higher speeds ?
My first guess would be the fan switch or the resistor.
On most cars the compressor will run with or without the blower, but VW cars may get compressor power from the blower resistor.

Heater fan on 1997 Mercury Mystique only works on "high" after replacing blown fuse.

You will need to replace your speed sensor switch located beside blower motor 2inch by 1inch single plug if you had a replacement in hand you could better identify it.

Fan works on Full Setting ONLY. 98 pathfinder

there is a ballast resistor that should be next to the blower motor that controls the low speeds on the blower. change it and you should be all set.

Heater blower works intermitantly

If you have access to a DC voltmeter; try this:
Check for voltage on each of the heater resistor terminals, when it is unplugged, key in the on position. With the heater switch on low, you should have 3 volts DC, on lo-med, 6 VDC, hi-med, 9 VDC and on hi, 12 vdc. It looks to me like you might have a bad heater switrch, if the voltages do not match exactly what is posted above, or vary when you slightly manipulate the switch, the switch contacts are bad. Hope this helps. If not, please repost for additinal info.
