Cooling pipes are commonly made from brass - My guess is that it is a fitting to pipe coolant into the head.

Where are the plugs on a 2001 venture?

The generic answer is "in the cylinder head".

A 2001 is only equipped with a 3.4L VIN code "E" V-6 engine. This engine is equipped with a three-coil ignition system with plug wires running from each of the coils to two of the 6 cylinders. There are 3 cylinders on the right bank (the side closest to the driver) and three cylinders on the left bank (the side closest to the radiator).

What is bank 1 sensors location on ford contour

Bank 1 is where the number one cylinder/spark plug is located. If this is a 4 cylinder engine, number 1 is at the front of the motor and bank 1 is irrelevant and the number 1 sensor would be the one screwed into the exhaust manifold attatched to the cylinder head. If it is a 6 cylinder than number one is on the side closest to the radiator, and at the back of the engine near the exhaust crossover. The number 1 sensor is going to be the one screwed into the exhaust manifold just outside the cylinder head.

    Need firing order to 89 chevy s-10 p/u w/ 4.3 liter/6cyl. replacing plug wires

4.3 v/6 firing order for an S-10 Chevy is 1-6-5-4-3-2, a helpful tip to always locate # 1 spark plug on a v engine.
If you look carefully at the cylinder heads note the very front of each, do you see one sticks out slightly further to the front then the other?
Tghis is the way these engines have to be cast for proper cylinder and timing rotation.
The furthest forward cylinder head is in fact the home of #1 cylinder, it is the first spark plug on that head, which in this case is the right side head.
