How to find out PIN2 to disable FDN

Fixed Dial Number (FDN), allows you to restrict outgoing calls to a limited set of phone numbers on your Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

How to enable FDN on Samsung Galaxy Note 2

• From the Home screen, tap Phone icon.
• Press Menu key and then tap Call settings > Additional settings > Fixed Dialing Numbers.
• Tap Disable FDN.
• At the prompt, enter your PIN2 code and tap OK.

Tap on the menu icon with the keypad
Choose 'Call Settings'
Tap 'Additional Settings'
Tap 'Fixed Dialling Numbers'
Choose 'Enable FDN'
Enter the PIN2 code that came with your SIM card
Select 'FDN List'
Enter the numbers that you want to allow calls to be made to
Tap 'Save'

i have a sumsung sgh-s730m and to turn off the fdn i opened the phone to the key pad them hit the little button with the three lines on the actual phone went into settings and turned off the fdn fixed diailing numbers by clicking on managing it and then entered my pin2 number and disabled it hope it helps

i have managed same problem as u. FDN means fixed dial number so all u have to do is to go in meniu...settings..security...and nr 4 is the submeniu u need.(just select stopped/turn off ..but be carefoul, it will ask you the pin2 of the sim u have in) After this,will appear a message" finalised" and u may call wherever u want.

First, I assume you have a service provider, a valid cell phone number and that your service provider has enabled text messaging as part of your plan.

To send a text message, go to "Messages", then click "Compose SMS", "[Use Once]", "SMS".

Type the cell phone number of the person you want to send the message to.

Click the trackwheel, then "Continue".

Type a message.

Click the trackwheel.

Click "Send".

If you still are not able to send a text message, you need to verify that "fixed dialing mode" is not enabled. To do that:

Go to Phone Options.

Click "FDN Phone List".

Click the trackwheel.

Click "Disable FDN Mode".

You have enable the feature called "Fixed Dial List". You need your PIN2 to enable or disable this feature. Using this feature will restrict your calls or text messages only to numbers in the list.
Navigate to your phone security menu, and disable fixed dial list.

About fixed dialing
If you enable fixed dialing number (FDN) mode, your device only makes calls to contacts on your FDN list. Your device can dial emergency numbers in FDN mode, even if the numbers are not in the FDN list. If your service provider plan includes SMS, you can also send SMS messages to contacts on your FDN list

so if you have this enabled chances are you have to turn it off.
this is how you turn it on so you should be able to use it as a guide to turn it off.



Turn on fixed dialing
1. In the phone options, click FDN Phone List.
2. Click the trackwheel.
3. Click Enable FDN mode.
4. Type the PIN2 code provided by your service provider.
5. Click the trackwheel.

or if you wanna keep it on and add friends to the fdn



Add contacts to the FDN list
1. In the phone options, click FDN Phone List.
2. Click the trackwheel.
3. Click New.
4. Type the PIN2 code provided by your service provider.
5. Click the trackwheel.
6. Type a name and a phone number.
7. Click the trackwheel.
8. Click Save.

and finally some shortcut keys:
To open the phone, press the Send key.
To end a call, press the End key.
To call a selected contact or phone number, press the Send key. To call a speed dial number, hold the assigned key.
To add an extension to a phone number, press the X key. Type the extension number.
To call your voice mail access number, hold 1.
To type a letter in a number field, hold the Alt key.
To type the first letter on a key, press the letter key once.
To type the second letter on a key, press the letter key twice.
To turn on or turn off mute using the Mute button, press the Mute button.
To turn on or turn off mute using the keypad, press the exclamation point (!) key.
To turn speakerphone on and off during a call, press the period (.) key.
To change the volume during a call, roll the trackwheel.

Sorry. But FDN or PIN-2 is the founction of your SIM card, not the phone! you should ask you network operator for help.
