Im new to computers . so maybe its me. were do you plug the printer in at on a dell inspiron 531 model 1531-142 . is thier a picture or can someone tell me whats up. i have a old hp printer 832c but the cable is big.do i need to put in a printer port? HELP.
If you have a PARALLEL cabled printer, You need the same sized port on your PC.
Most newer PCs no longer have serial ports, as they are antiquated and slow method of communication.
There are adapters however, if you have a smaller SERIAL port.
