Yup. Bad lcd. If under warranty, have the manufacturer replace it. If not under warranty, visit ebay for the least expensive lcd's. Won't find them cheaper anywhere else. Just buy from a seller with a decent rating. Some are offering 100-120 day warranties on new lcd's. You can also find used ones there, as is.

SOURCE: laptop powers up buy displays nothing

Can you plug the laptop up to an external monitor and keyboard, and test it that way?

Is it possible that the laptop is currently set to use the external monitor instead of the default one?

SOURCE: Power Problem

Try to twist the laptop bottom when you turn it on. Some logic board issues are caused by loose chips, when you twist the bottom firmly, they will make contact and the laptop will start up. If that happens you can either twist it each time to turn it on or replace the logic board. If it's an AMD core duo based laptop, those CPUs sometimes tend to die from heat and cause an issue like this. Just replace the CPU they're 30 bucks on ebay. Laptop Repair NYC

SOURCE: I dropped my laptop, white pixels turn pink

The CCFL lamp has been partially damaged and could fail completely any time. Defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom: Screen flashs on red/pink and off. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering with dim display or appear black. Picture flickering on and off. All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp.
Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power the monitor up first then the laptop, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight. Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

Why does my acer aspire z5761 keep freezing and has horizontal lines across screen and constant bleep?

You probably somehow killed the screen. Did you drop it or bang it into something? You can try downloading and replacing the drivers, but I doubt that will help. Lines on the screen are usually a physical problem, not software related.

You may try a Windows Restore if your machine has that ability. Some do, depending on who you bought it from. Again, doubful it will help, but worth a shot.

Need more information on the bleep. When does it bleep? Constantly? When you touch the screen? Or when you boot it up? What kind of bleeps? One? Several? Long? Short? Both? Repeating sequence?

My wifes samsung tocco lite mobile keeps bleeping when texing or touching the screen we have lost the manual can you help

With the keypad on screen - press and hold the hash key which also mutes the bleeps. This will mute everything, so remember to repeat this process when you have finished texting otherwise you won't hear incoming calls.

The touch screen on our Garwin Nuvi 360 do not function.

Unfortunatly there is a fine wire Grid below the surface of the glass, the grid detects where you are touching on the screen, with the glass being broken, the grid is broken, which will cause dead spots or regions on the touch screen. You will have to replace the Touch screen or the unit which ever is most cost effective.

Hope this is of some help.
