there are a few ways you can go about this. one of which is to take your father's phone to a repairer who would in turn help you unlock it for a small fee. and then it would work with any network including vodaphone. apart from this, you can buy him another cheap vodaphone so you can call him. apart from these two, there is no other way you can do this. hope this helped you?
If you still have the manual there is generally a security override code like 0000 or 1111 stated inside the manual. If not your supplier (Orange, Vodaphone ect) will have the details for it.
Ask vodaphone for http for wap and input manually if they still not helpful try Asda Mobile they piggy back Vodaphone and have been really helpful. Ask for details to be emailed for printing then once received on phone select Service then select Wap then Input address. Use onscreen keyboard and toggle between ABC abc 123 & >> for symbols. Go to BlackBerryMEP.COM and buy an unlock code specified to your BlackBerry, they will send you the unlock code along with a fully detailed guide on how to input the code using your BlackBerry's keypad .
contact vodaphone for an unlock code first. If they will not provide the code you may have to see a paid site for an unlocl code. Be careful though.. if the wrong unlock code is entered too many times the phone will permanently be locked to vodephone.
After the phone is unlocked you should be able to make and receive calls. THen contact tmobile for your internet and picture message settings. Or check out the device configurator on their website.
