Hello niceguy_jes2,
click on this link for the ambulance like sound beep description:
http://www.bioscentral.com/beepcodes/awardbeep.htm
"High frequency beeps while running". "Check the CPU fan for proper operation. Check the case for proper air flow".
First item to check would be CPU's fan speed. To do this, enter your bios menu. Listed there is "H/W Monitor". Open it. Check the fan speed, CPU temperature & mother board temp. Chances are the CPU fan is turning too slow & it may need to be replaced. (No less than 2300RPM's). Average CPU fan's spin at 3000 plus).
Next item if CPU fan is ok. The thermal grease between the heat-sink & CPU may have dried up over time & cause the CPU to get too hot. You may need to remove the CPU & heat-sink assembly. Clean off all old thermal grease from the bottom of the heat-sink & from the CPU. If you do this, do not scratch either surface. Use house hold alcohol on a clean rag & wipe away all old thermal grease. Apply a tiny amount of new thermal grease. Re-assemble & check through bios H/W monitor, CPU temp. One or the other will stop the system beeps.
