Can a printer be connected to this router without additional hardware? It currently provides Verizon DSL to both a Mac and PC. It is ethernet connected to the Mac.
Well the printer will have to have a eathernet plug on it to make it a networked printer and when you install it you will tell it through the network. I hope this would help you out. Do not for get to rate this solusion.

unfortunately, no. You would be better off Ebaying the actiontec and getting a dedicated router- the reason is that the only uplink on the actiontec is the dsl port- not ethernet. Theoretically you could mod the firmware to make the wireless an access point only- but it would still have the achilles heel of needing an uplink.
It depends on your DSL connection- technically anything above 56k is "high-speed internet"- if you are concerned about the speeds you are getting, contact Verizon tech support for further assistance- you could have an issue with your connection, and they would be the ones able to setup for a technician to come out/ have the maintenance office repair the connection
you can try to reset the router itself, there is a little button at the back of it where you can insert a pin or a pencil, make sure that the router is on then press and hold the reset button for one minute then turn it off, then connect it to you ATT and access the firmware,if its still the same, theres no way for you to use it since thats the only way that you can do...
Go to http://www.actiontec.com/support/index.php and see if you can download the manual. You will need it to know how to set it up with the information provided by your DSL ISP.
After my second call to Actiontec ended with the help desh hanging up on me, Actiontec did respond to an emailed plea for help and prompty provided a complex script which they labeled confidential to address this problem. The bottom line seems to be Verizon either installed hardware that is incompatable with an Exchange server or they did not configure the insallation correctly. In so many words, Actiontec feels it is a Verizon problem. I wish me luck in getting to the right place to deal with that, even though I am a Verizon stockholder.
Yes it cn as long as the printer has an eathernet port on it. You would then need to install it through the network when seting it up on both computers. I hope this helps you. Also do not for get to vote for this solusion.
Vista is almost as bad as Verizon services. I have had a ton of problems. I had a Westell router that kept going out and then I put my Actiontec on. It was a lot faster but still drops out all the time. When I log in to the router it says I have both dsl and internet connection. and then my pc shows I have the locals only. Where I live has old wiring and Verizon won't fix there end of it.
