Boughthe eee-pc 701 wondering wether i can install windows xpspk1

XP has a problem installing directly from (non cd) usb devices by default. try it with a usb external cdrom and an actual windows cd (known to work) or reinstall ubunt and run windows as a virtual machine or if you are really into computers and really really need to install xp from usb try the link below. Id guess you have caught a virus of some kind,only a new fresh install will prove this,these are typical symptoms of virus activity

I assumed you were looking for the EEE PC 701 (XP) Manual and not the Linux version..

if u use windows xp ,press CTR+alt+del to apper a windows then type ADMINISTRATOR
foe user name and leave blank for pass and press enter.af u use another OS tell me ..

Run system restore. this is a malfunction.

Download and reinstall camera drivers here:

First download the camera driver here.

If you are using Windows xp , also download the UVC driver update from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta … laylang=en.

Copy the file from the cd and paste to the flash

Are you able to check your network connection? Go to your control panel, click on Internet Options, click the Connections tab, then the LAN settings. Make sure the Automatically detect settings is selected and nothing else. close all windows and retry your Internet. Good Luck.

Ok your gonna need a couple of things to put XP on the Linux Eee PC.

A usb 2.0 CD or DVD
The Offical windows XP service pack 2 disc from Microsoft
A usb flash disk larger than 1 gig or an external harddrive
ASUS PC Eee support CD from original package.
