Gas or electric? If gas make sure the line is on by checking the valve. If electric check your breaker panel box and see if it is tripped. If so reset the breaker.

2 flashes = pressure switch stuck open.

It sounds like your
inducer fan (furnace gas exhaust) is running. The circuit board will verify that
this fan is running using a pressure switch that is connected by a silicone hose to a
port in the fan/blower housing. This pressure switch (they call it a
pressure switch but it really is measuring vacuum) is a 3" round, flat dash-pot switch that has two wires
(typically orange) connected to it. Here are the things that can go
wrong:

Common: Make sure the silicone hose is intact and not leaking. If the
end connected to the blower housing is rotten/broken/crumbling from the
heat then trim it off and reconnect.

Common: Remove the silicone hose from the blower housing and carefully
stick a drill bit into the port trying to scrape away the crusty residue
that builds up all over the exhaust of these furnaces. Crusty stuff on
the inside edges of this port can alter the venturi effect making the
vacuum signal lower and ineffective.

Common if: If your blower housing was built with a coating of paint
inside it, that paint can come loose and put a drag on the blower wheel
just enough to lower the vacuum signal at the venturi port so that the
pressure (vacuum) switch won\'t close.

Note: if the crusty stuff or loose paint condition is causing this you
may find that the furnace starts and runs for a short time (a minute)
then shuts down. That is because the cold dense air is creating a barely
good enough vacuum signal but once the furnace is running the air has
gotten hot in the blower, which makes it less dense, which is not enough
to keep the switch closed so the furnace shuts down.

Turn off everything, disconnect the two wires at the pressure (vacuum)
switch and connect an Ohm meter and very, very gently suck on the vacuum
hose. This is a sensitive switch that only takes 2" of water column to
activate ( the amount of suction it takes to draw water 2" up a straw! )
so be gentle! The Ohm meter should go from infinite (no continuity) to
about zero (contact or continuity).

If all the above works you may have to verify the suction available at
the blower port and the actual vacuum signal needed to turn on the
pressure (vacuum) switch using a manometer. You can make a water
manometer with a ruler and a long length of clear vinyl tubing the same
size as the silicone tubing, and some water.

If all this checks out then replace the controller board.

Nordyne Furnace MMHB 070ABHR-06. How do I change the air filter on the furnace MMHB 070ABHR-06 please?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Cars and Trucks category.

The problem with Furnace filters is that they are placed depending on the installation of the boiler. They can be on the left, the right or the front or even have no filter at all. Typically they are placed for easy access and slip into slots. You should be able to see the pleated filter material.

I have a gibson (Nordyne) model KG6RC 120C-20C gas furnace. The blower motor was making noise when starting, then burned out. After replacing the blower motor, the new motor won't start.

With a meter you can track down where the voltage stops. Typically you will have the speed wire landed on the "NO"/normally open terminal of the relay with the hot on the other one. when the relay energizes it closes the circuit sending voltage to the speed wire. First be sure you have high voltage to the relay. If voltage present you can carefully put the speed wire either directly to the hot or on the "NC" side. If any doubts on your ability dont do it, its dangerous. Keep us posted.

I have a Nordyne/Gibson Furnace model # B6BMM060K-C with a heatpump. After heating, the blower continues to run.

That's a tough one. The longest delay I see is 40 seconds. Could be a problem with the motor, could be the relay on the board, possibly the board, or possibly the tstat. If you have a multimeter and some experience possibly I can help.Let me know

Nordyne 624631-8 A/C & Gas furnace contr board has a blinking red 'Status' light. Goes On, off 2 seconds, on, off 2 seconds, on, off 2 seconds, etc. The trouble codes on my wiring diagram are worn...

On the heating side this happens if you are having a problem with the high limit switch. The unit will heat up and burners will run for awhile, shut off and the fan switch will close and run for ever to cool the heat exchanger down.Make sure the filter is clean and there is a reset button on the system could be in the blower compartment. When you find this, reset it and you should be fine.If this doesn't take care of it, you may have to replace the main control board. Its to bad the Schematic is gone, it would tell you what the 2 flashes mean. You may want to check with the dealer on this unit if you cant find the reset, and they can look this up for you. Just give them all of the numbers, model, serial, and product if there is one.
Good Luck, Shastalaker7
ps, I have seen this fan switch trip and run so many times. It is set up to do this if it senses a build up of heat.
