From Kia's website.

"If you would like to reset or inactivate the maintenance system press the RESET button for more than 1 second. The display will change to "Engine Oil Service Message" mode.
You can move to items by pressing the TRIP button and select the desired item by pressing the RESET button."

Images on how to change a knock sensor for 2003 rio kia

On 2003 Kia Rio the knock sensor is located under the intake manifold and must be changed from underneath the car. If you remove the oil filter it is directly above it and is in clear view once the oil filter is out of the way. The connector plugs in behind the intake manifold air breather on the top side. If you remove the air breather cover it will help you get to it. It's not Complicated it's Just a process Of Changing the Knock Sensor.

My 2003 Kia Rio has almost 200,000 miles on it... 4 months ago I drove it over 2,000 miles with no problems. Before leaving, I took it in to my mechanic to have them change the oil and oil filter, and just generally check it over... fluid levels, brakes, tires ~ basic stuff.
Good luck!

I recently purchased a 2004 Kia Rio. It is in excellent condition. A week ago, before registering it, we had an inspection and oil change done. Everything runs great, there are no problems with this car...

Hi:
I have not heard of an oil change causing a check engine light.

A good plan is to have your Kia scanned, to see what the code is that tripped the check engine light. Most auto parts stores, such as autozone, will do this for free.
Some codes are very simple, such as a loose gas cap.

Once you find out what the code is, you can then make an educated decision on what to do.

I have a kia rio 2001 the car shakes when i drive it. seems that it does not go into gears, it has no power.

AUTO GEAR THE SERVICE MANUAL DOES NOT REQUIRE TO CHANGE GEAR OIL AND FILTER ,BUT TIME AND USAGE OF THE CAR MAKES THE OIL FITLY AND EVAPORATE EVEN IN CLOSE GEARS.SO CHANGING REFRESH THE GEAR SHIFTING USUALLY SOLVES THE PROBLEM IF ITS NO TOO LATE ADV. CHANGE GEAR OIL EVERY OTHER SERVICE SCHEDULE.
