is it a manual gearbox? can you put it in 5th release the handbrake and rock back and forth it to see if the engine turns? if its an auto you will need to use a large spanner on the engines bottom pulley. that way you will see if it is seized and then if the oil pressure - level is relevant.

I'm more up for battery-chassis earth strap or chassis-engine earth strap.

Maybe earth strap to chassis from engine. put a multi meter from battery neg to engine, set it to DC volts and crank the engine. should read 0 volts if ok. will read about 12 volts if earth is knackered.

Car won't Crank/start

With a voltage meter see how many volts are at the starter terminal. If not 12+ volts you have a bad connection. Check connection at the starter solenoid. Does it have 12+volts? Short the solenoid. Does it put voltage to the starter?

95 jeep wrangler 4.0,won,t start,dash lites won,t go on.replaced starter relay.still won,t turn over.

Try checking the battery and battery leads. Sounds as though you have a bad battery. Also check your fuses under the hood and dash.

I have an 89 Jeep Comanche, 6 cyl 5 speed. I recently changed out all my spark plugs, clutch, battery, put in a new freeze plug, new oil change and new ignition coil. The jeep always started and i never...

I take it that it cranks over but will not start. Spray some starter fluid into the throttle body. If it runs, you have a fuel problem. You may have disconnected the fuel system by unplugging a connector or grounding a wire blowing a fuse.

1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee will not start.

You need a new battery. The lights only take about 10 - 15 amps, the starter takes 200 - 400 amps, Replace the battery and all will be well
