Rear speakers do not work , also in set up menu they are grayed out.

hi there

when playing radio, the rear speakers do work because you have configured that. in your dvd player however, you may not have configured it yet.

Correctly insert the jacks at the back of the dvd player and at the same time, check the menu of your dvd player and check the audio settings. Under the audio settings of your dvd player menu, select the 5.1 or 6.1 audio profile.

hope this helps.

Remote control does not work

Good evening.
It is irritating when the remote doesn't work or is lost. You can download a remote in your phone and use the phone as a remote.
Before that check the batteries. It has been known to happen that a new battery is needed. Try that first before you try to get one from the internet it buy one in a shop.

Disk not recognized...loads, but doesn't succeed in playing disk, displaying "no disc" and stops disc spinning. What do I need to do to get the Mintek DVA 8700 to recognize discs. I've opened it to see if...

I had this same problem with my Apex AD-500W DVD Player. I decided since everyone said the player basically needed to be replaced it wouldn't hurt to go through the buttons on the remote just to try and figure it out......I DID!!!! I turned on my DVD Player, inserted a disc, turned on my tv and then hit the SYSTEM Button right below the power button until the screen said MULTI and the machine started working perfectly. There are 3 settings in that button, PAL which made my screen go crazy, NTSC ( i have no clue) and MULTI(this one made it work)! Hope it also works for all of you!!!
