Default password for Netopia gz53347

The netopia 3347 will not accept my user name and password to set up the modem. I need to get into the settings and need the default user name and passcode. thanks

SOURCE: bought used modem and don t have user name and passord

on the back panel you will find reset button. press and hold for 20sec. So your router will get back defaul settings.

As im sure you found out the hard way, you have to swap the netopia out. You must've really snapped your lucky fingers for that one. I do this stuff all the time for a living, and I've never seen a Netopia not function correctly, a new one that is from your ISP anyway. Did you get the netopia from your ISP? or did you buy it on E-Bay, or Amazon.com, a netopia from another ISP wont function properly, but the wireless still should.

Bad modem, just swap it out. Its under warranty, its a new modem, that model number just came out last year. You wont even get charge for it. Its just frustrating when new equipment fails, and unfortuanatly, its becoming more and more common place it seems. Don't even get me started on my new motherboards from ASUS.

If its not a project, its no fun, right?...hehe

Reset it again as explained here

If necessary do it using the serial connection.
If it behaves the same then the router firmware has been corrupted and the only way to save this router is to reload the firmware by using the serial connector - a special bootloader will have to be used. You must request for it specifically from them. Use this form to get registered

I need to find out the web key for my netopia 3347nwg modem my son accidently pressed the reset button in the back

If you mean the reset button has been pushed and now the modem needs re-programing, then the modem has defaulted to its factory setting. Its IP address is now 192.168.1.254, its user name is Admin, and its password is the same as the serial number of the modem, usually found on the label on the bottom of the unit.

Netopia 3347 boots me off Interent

Hi! I will be more than glad to assist u in this concern..the modem wont talk to the router bcoz the router is not properly setup.. if you are using a cable modem from ur cable company provider- u need to do a mac clone on the router u have to clone the mac address of ur computer. normaly the mac of ur computer is the one register to your cable company and on the setup page of the router just selct on the internet setup, dhcp after clonning the mac address of your computer. u need to connect ur computer directly to the router and then after doing the process connect the router to the modem. if u are using a username and password, u have to use the pppoe settings on the router, if ur isp set a static ip , set it up to the router, to check the ip setting of your isp.. connect the computer directly to the modem and check if u have internet.. then click on start, run and type cmd,it will give u a dos prompt and from there type ipconfig/all and it will show u the ip address, subnetmask, default gateway, dns server.. I hope this will solve ur concern..

Need to forward to static ip

access your modem i belive the ip address is
192168.0.1
if not then run an (ipconfig) on ur command prompt
use the default gateway on ur address bar
by default the username and password are both (admin)
if you set ur own up then im sure u know what it is
go inthe modem click on
(advanced) then on (ip static routes) and type in information that should take care of it !

Netopia 3347 moved to a different location/tel number

If you got the netopia in anyone of the 13 states that ATT controls, then that netopia will work in any other state, not just the phone number it was attached to. We are implementing technology now that it will be phone specific, but most people dont have that installed yet.

All you have to do is reset the netopia, open a browser, type 192.168.1.254 and set it up with the new username and password you created when you got your new DSL service.

Unlock netopia 2247 router

If your talking about the password for the router user interface that is not working that resetting it again using a pen or a paper clip just press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds then that should bring your router to its default settings with the default username and password.
