I attempted to install Panda IS 2009; however I didn't see the instruction to uninstall other programs first. Now it doesn't get past the message "Failed Installation Detected". Is there any way to fix this?

    I did uninstall the old one, but it stll gives me the same message. :(

Hello,

Do you have an active anti virus running now? If so you cannot run 2 anti vurus together, well you can technically but you will have problems with system freezes. If so, uninstall the old version and then try the install again.

    No problem,



    Go to windows explorer and make sure show hidden files and folders is checked(tools, folder options, view) then click on documents and settings, then look for a folder named application data, once you are in this folder look for any folder with the name of the antivirus you previously uninstalled. Delete any folders that are related to your old anti virus, once you do this try installing Panda 2009 again, should work.

First uninstall the antivirus program ,then u can only install new one..

You should try uninstalling the Panda URL Filtering if this issue only occurs after the latest update. Then you can be sure if the issue is with Panda or not.

Re-install program then go to safe mode and use control panel / add/remove programs

If that doesnt work you can download from Panda a program to get rid of all files for Panda

failing that you need to know what you are doing (Do not attempt if you arent confident) by accessing the registry and deleting threads that have Panda in it.

NB = back up registry first.

I Can`t Activate My Panda Antivirus Pro 2009 after reinstall it
This should get you going

OPTION 1

When you re-install Panda are you able to click on the help at the top right of the main screen and see "Activate my product"? If you are, this will bring the activation wizard up for you to enter the following

1. Activation code (This is all caps including the dash in between)
2. Email address that you used on the account
3. Client/Customer number

OPTION 2

If you are unable to bring the activation wizard up here is another option for you

1. Navigate to the Panda installation folder. For most computers, this will be located under C:\Program Files\Panda Security\(your Panda program).
2. Double-click on the PSROL.EXE application file.
3. Activate using your credentials shown in previous option

Windows Restore only displays one restore date; history is gone.
Restores are only recorded when a system change is made or you manually set one. Since panda is a program and not a system change it will not set a restore date. Uninstall panda. Go to c:\program files and delete Panda Software folder. In Vista go to C:\Users\<user>\AppData\ (where user is your user account) and delete all folders related to panda. In XP that same folder will be C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data

-You have to make sure that the current antivirus protection you have is already deleted, Then reboot the system.
-reinstall the panda again , If same problem encopuntered try to use some programs like REVo uninstaller.
-Use REVO to manipulate deleting all norton files like folder, registry file.
-Then reinstall panda again, If no..go Disable firewall and reboot system-reinstall panda .
