How do you remove front grill of Lasko NSC-243 to enable cleaning? Thanks.

A tower fan should not be opened at all. (It’s unsafe to do so, and may damage your fan.) Every two to three weeks, simply use the brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner on the tower fan intake grills to remove lint and dirt, or use a can of compressed air to blow off dust from inner fan blades. That’s it! Your clean tower fan is ready to be plugged back in and get back to keeping your home breezy.

Disassembling a cyclone by lasko for cleaning

There are screws hidden between the slats on the side of the fan that are not obvious. You will also need to pry the fan apart as it snaps together. On the back by the power cord is a round tab over it. There are some screws under it. They hold the motor to the back assembly. It took about 7 minutes for us to get it apart today because of the screws being hidden on the sides. After a cleaning it won't turn on now.

Is there a way to open fan to clean blades? ty

yes, there are screws on the side that you have to remove first. you have to remove the screws for the handle on the outside of the fan case, but the rest of the screws are on the inside of the fan case. you will have to move the fan so you can get to the screw that is hiding. you will want to take the side off that does not have the power switch on it. I also like to use an air compressor to blow the fan out as well. this works just as good.
