Check the linkage that goes from the shift lever down to the transmission. It sounds like somewhere along the line, it has become disconnected or has broken.
if that parts are clean then It sounds like you have a shift control solenoid that has high resistance causing the hard shift you describe. Scan the PCM for trouble codes if none are present you could have a internal transmission problem.

If its putting in 110 volts then you have a altinator problem.Regulater over chared the battery.The battery needs to be replaced you have damaged the cells.Thats why it want hold charge.Before you do fit a new battery change the altinator.Hope that was helfull.

there might be some kind of short drainin your battery or your alternator may not be workin not chargin the battery
