Sounds like a bad connection to whatever you have it connected to (cable box, dvd player, etc). Check the connection and then replace cables.

The micro ribbon wire may be damaged if its blank if the phone is old this may be the case opening and closing breaks the ribbon wire after time. If it is new return for replacement. also in menu, phone, display is where all adjustments are.

Hi, this is a very common problem with your type of phone and all the flip and slide phones, the problem you are having is going to be with the data ribbon that connects from the screen to the circuit board, what happens is that every time the phone is opened this ribbon moves so it keeps the screen connected at all times, but over time the little copper wires inside the ribbon become brittle and break, as your getting a white screen this proves that only one of the wires have broken as you still have power to the screen.

the problem you now have is that to solve the problem your going to need to get this ribbon replaced, the good news is that the part itself is really cheap and a phone shop should be able to replace it whilst you wait.

this is a very common problem so the cost of repair is low, how ever make sure you take you phone to a small phone shop and not one of the big branded shops as you will pay a lot less at a small phone shop.

im sorry their is no easy fix for your phone but without replacing this data ribbon their is no chance your phone will work,

possible the firmwar is damage or sum ics have burn because of a power spike, or brownage while it was on charge, take it to a repair shop to be checked

If the power light does not turn color and stay's green on startup, it is not a power problem. It is most likely the inverter. If the unit is in warranty, send it out ASAP. Contact HP customer care by email and have the issue logged in.
If in warranty, they will send you a box by FedX second day and have repaired.
This is a 19" monitor and will not be worth paying for repairs if not in warranty.

well mayber the flex(ribbon) connecting your lcd to the board is damaged try replacin it with a new one.

If formatting your phone doesnt help there are three possible problems in order of priority (1) your screen is gone and needs replaced (2) your ribbon cable is gone and needs replaced (3) phone needs flashed, I have repaired the first two above on many samsungs with this fault! Not an easy job! Hope this helps.

You seem to have a issue with the Flex Ribbon Inside. The Display has a Flex ribbon that connects to the keypad area. there seems to be a fault with that ribbon. this is common problem with **** shell phones/ Slider phones.. best solution would be to take it to a repair shop. unless you have warranty.

The first Polyview has a power supply problem (a short) and locks out the power until it is unplugged. You need to check the voltages inside the Monitor to determine which component/s are faulty. I hope you know electronics if not leave it to the repair shop because you have neither the skills or equipment to repair it. By the way I am not a monitor repair man but I do have 30 plus years in the electronics field.
The second monitor may have a broken wire in the cord that goes to your computer. Other internal components can cause the same simptoms your seeing. Good luck!

I opened the radio and found that the wired ribbon that connect the front display plug to the inside main electronic board was cutted on the place that the ribbon bends when the face plate move in and out to take off the display or put a CD.(It sees like after years opening and closing ribbon makes an edge and break). I called Crutchfield and they brought this phone # for Pioneer replacement parts, Tel. 1-800-228-7221. I called and ordered the part (P/N:XNP7026, FACEPLATE RIBBON CABLE - $24.95) and I installed it, the decks is working perfect! If you have electronic working experience will be easy, if not, buy the part and bring it to an electronic shop. The front connector plug has to be reused. This cable is used on other models like : DEHP6800MP, DEHP7800MP, DEHP780MP, DEHP9800BT, and the DEH980BT. Hope that this help!
